Success......!

Thanks first of all to the people that came out and gave me a high 5 !!

I was really taken back by the people that drove hours to come say hi, see the bikes and art, I hope I didn't let anyone down...

Over the whole night we had almost 400 people come thru the good old Actual Cafe!!!!

The employees loved those tips!!!!

Like I told you in the last post that I would be easy to find with my used car salesman brown suite, and let me tell you, I know it was a fire hazard but it was well worth wearing it!!

Jon Suzuki sold a whole bunch of great photos he took around Oakland and else where, some of the photos were very cool like the old Schwinn photos..

Jon Suzuki had some great photos up on display
My personal favorite was the one in the middle of the chainguard on the Schwinn Racer

The big Penny Farthing up on display for the kids and it is still at the Cafe if you are in the area.

The speed bike is still up on display until my body heals up from the last crash.

Setting up for the show while we waited to see what Mike Cleaver who rolled up with a super rad late night build - A kick ass BMX CycleTruck cargo bike that could do bar spins !!! He also rolled up with a super cool bright Pink cargo bike.
I also had my custom 1938 Schwinn New World track racer with a custom race mechanic stand ( I need to do a photo shoot with that set up).

To close this post - Let me show you the best USED CAR SALESMAN in the Bay Area and for you Californians, NO its not Cal Worthington

Just rolled up on the 1938 Schwinn Superior to a photo by the Oakland North news, Matt Ducot is in the background locking up laughing at me like normal.

Want more info and pictures check out the Oakland North they are hip with the news

A day at the circus ........

A while back while doing Nitro Circus for MTV, the location for the shoot was a old circus way out in the desert far from LA.
Really kinda weird and odd feeling because of how run down it was, but either way, made the most of it and did a rad shoot with my Penny Farthing I built about a year ago.

Peter at Cane Creek and Avid threw it down for this one.....
I didn't have the chains on it cause I didn't want Travis P to ride it and crash it before interbike.

this was a picture from an art show and it shows the chain drive better
The wheel is so big it needs split drives, unless your 8 feet tall your inseam is to small....
Now its on display at Jims Shop "Cranky's" in Santa Barbara,CA

Busy for Interbike 2009

It is often assumed that if your blog is not up to date that you are just lazy........ Well I hope no one can say that about me. Between my phone ringing off the hook about bicycle projects and the chain gang work I do during the day at RSD, I have been far from lazy. I am going to do a few post on whats new including projects at work and projects at home.

First off - The last week I owe it to Dan Berlant for throwing it down and helping me dial everything in. Couldn't have done it with out you.

The Penny Farthing Bicycle made it was to Interbike Las Vegas Bicycle Show ( the world's largest bicycle dealer expo ) with a fresh paint job from Matt over at Colorzone in Huntington Beach. The pin striping turned out great, and the finish looks amazing. Thanks to everyone else that helped get the machine to the way it looks today. Sram, Velocity, Cane Creek, and so on......

Check out the photos from Interbike - Gary Fisher even dropped by for a quick chat about the penny.

Round Two - Bicycle stands ....... I don't really want to talk about them much other then being a pain in the ass...... They look cool and were all brazed together. A great little piece for the bikes at the Torelli Bicycle booth. Check'em on the back wheel of the bikes in both pictures -

Working on the Frame Table, Red Bull projects and Traveling are the rest but thats another post.....

Madness from the Grand Ave.

Well it seems like Rodney likes to give me a hard time about not updating my blog so here it goes..... My door is cracked open I can hear 2 cats fighting out side behind the fence with some crazy techno music playing in the background.
Up on the drawing table for the night and for you kids at home is the Jeff Tiedeken - Design your own bike connect the dots coloring book. This is the first of a series of drawings that will be coming at you for you and the kids to have fun on.

The model of the bicycle is off the Volume Cutter and so now you can connect the dots ( bottom brackets, headtube, dropouts, ect ) and build your own scaled 700c track frame for your fridge or girlfriend. Plus I put on some crazy Easton Carbon TKO track wheels on the drawing to really impress her!

All these crazy drawings are done on Solidworks and come from yours truly at the Skunkworks Complex deep in South Central Los Angeles. Check out the secret photos from the complex!
